Typhoon! uses the finest Jasmine Rice and the best coconut milk money can buy.
Where other restaurants use dark meat, Typhoon! uses only the freshest white meat chicken. Where others use smaller farm shrimp, Typhoon! uses larger wild shrimp. Where others use cheap, fatty cuts of beef and pork, Typhoon! uses only the finest top sirloin and tenderloins.
At Typhoon!, we use the best fish sauce imported into America. Where others use dry, packaged noodles, Typhoon! uses only the finest, freshest noodles. Long before it was "popular," we have used the most expensive cooking oil, because it has no trans fats. Why do we go to so much trouble and expense? Because we believe our guests deserve the best quality and healthiest food we can put on a plate.
When we first opened Typhoon! and tried to order premium ingredients, one supplier refused: “Use the same things everyone else uses. It’s cheaper. You make more money. And Americans can’t tell the difference.”

In the winter, when Thai chili peppers become scarce – and expensive – many restaurants substitute other kinds of pepper.
Typhoon! never substitutes, even if it means we have to search the planet for peppers and fly them in
from a different country each week.
Thai food is a lot more labor intensive than most cuisines. A Typhoon! kitchen needs as many cooks as an American restaurant three times our size. Many of our cooks have won awards, or have represented Thailand in cooking demonstrations around the world. We take care of our people, because we believe that a quality product starts with a quality team. This gives us a dedicated, deeply skilled kitchen and one of the highest retention rates in the industry.
Over the years, costs for labor, rent, food and utilities have soared, yet thanks to our superior buying
power, we’re able to deliver unbeatable quality, consistency and value, and keep our prices competitive.
You may be able to pay a slightly lower price elsewhere, but others simply can’t match our quality.
