Kids love Typhoon!
 
It was a pleasant surprise to learn that Typhoon! is the top choice for Thai food among kids of all ages. 
 
Any parent knows that “Kid-Friendly” means more than a placemat to color. 
 
At Typhoon!, we prefer to treat children like, well…people.  Special people.  Because we know until they’re happy, you can’t be happy.  To our surprise, despite the lack of a specific “Children’s Menu,” we soon had a burgeoning guest list of youngsters craving Thai food, and asking to visit Typhoon! 
 
One week we had several birthday dinner parties for kids under 10 years old.  Puzzled, we asked the parents. 
 
“We told our daughter she could go anywhere she wanted, and she picked Typhoon!” the father said.  “It’s her favorite place.  We were shocked.”
 
We were surprised, too:  “We don’t have a special kids’ menu that they can color.    We don’t give them crayons.  At Typhoon!, we just treat kids like people and make food they enjoy.”
 
The mother leaned over, gave us one of those patient Mom smiles, and said softly: “That’s the point.”

We’ve also welcomed many youngsters to the Typhoon! summer staff as they get older, to help them work their way through school.   And after college, they return with families of their own, and introduce their own children to Thai food Typhoon!-style.
